At age 48, I hit a wall.
During the pandemic, I put my career on hold to focus on my children. I went through an intense period of self-discovery, experimentation, and outreach to figure out what I wanted to do next.
I spent months interviewing and sifting through countless jobs online, but there was nothing out there I could say, "yes! that's me!." The more I searched, the less I found. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I was stuck, exhausted, and deflated.
I found an abundance of career resources, but they largely emphasize how to land a job (e.g., how to optimize my resume and what to say in interviews). But my problem was different: I couldn't figure out what job I was trying to land.
I began experimenting with tools and principles from Design Thinking, Brand Strategy and LEAN, and I quickly started to regain clarity, direction, and energy. Soon, my friends asked me to help them too. The results were stunning.
My purpose became clear:
